Transfiguration Church Wedding | Tracy and James | October 2012

Back in September, I spent some time with Tracy and James just strolling in the park, walking up and down checking out graffiti walls in downtown Toronto getting some engagement photos made. A year has passed by since she nodded in happiness and said yes in the monumental CN Tower. Just before we knew it, they were happily married in a Catholic ceremony at the Transfiguration Church with family, relatives and their closest friends. Right after the ceremony we were on our way to McMichael Art Gallery for a portrait session. Despite the rain drops and getting a little damp, the whole wedding party was in strong spirits and just keep cracking jokes along. After a few rounds of speeches full of laughter and tears and lot of dancing, the guys finished off the night at Chateau Le Jardin with some nice cigars.

Markham Museum Wedding | Grace and Ben | September 2012

This is a love story between a sonographer and a banker. For the longest time Grace and Ben have dated. When Ben finally proposed to Grace at Times Square in New York, everything was set in stone. I first met the love birds only a few months ago but during our engagement sessions (waterfall and golf course) and a few bubble tea meetings, I felt I’ve known the couple forever. Grace’s warm smile and Ben’s wit definitely stand out.

Moonlight Convention Center Wedding | Shelli and Eric | August 2012

It’s been a while since my last South Asian Wedding. My good friend Rocky Choi invited me to help him out at Shelli and Eric’s celebration. While Rocky covered Shelli’s side, I was getting to know Eric a little more. Being one of the chillest groom I’ve met this year, everything went rather smoothly. After getting ready and having his turban all set, we were all on our way to Moonlight Convention Centre for their Hindu wedding ceremony. Dohi at the same location took place after a nice relaxing dinner where the couple had a chance to social and rest. Day two was all about partying at Grand Empire Banquet Hall. After the portrait session, the speeches, dances and other festivities took place, the party took place.

Oakview Terrace Wedding | Dora and Jacky | September 2012

It’s always interesting to hear about a couple’s story, how they met, how they fell in love. Dora and Jacky met years ago when they were still in high school. They officially went on their first date watching a movie at Market Village’s Chinese theater in which Jacky said he “first took advantage of Dora” by holding her hand. Years past and their love grew, last year after quite some planning, Jacky proposed. During a date at CN Tower’s Edge Walk, at 356 meters above ground, the wedding deal was sealed. During the past year, I’ve had quite a few opportunities to know the couple and I’ll have to say they are one of the most cheerful and relaxing couple of the year.

Mandarin Golf and Country Club Wedding | Winnie and Ricky | July 2012

It’s been a while since I last shot an outside wedding. It’s also the first time I’ve been back to Mandarin Golf and Country Club since I was at this very club as a bestman for one of my buddies’ wedding 4 years ago. Winnie and Ricky pretty much picked the perfect day. Winnie is more of a quiet person while Ricky was the more social person. It’s hard to not crack up when you have someone like Ricky saying hilarious things so often. The whole morning festivities, the whole day for that matter was full of energy and laughter. We had a great time at Mill Pond Park where we had a quick portrait session with the bridal party then headed off to the golf club for their short and sweet ceremony and banquet.
