Post Wedding Portrait sessionA couple of months ago I received an email from Grace of Aqua Event Management telling me she’s got a couple she wants to introduce to me. 5 months later, I was documenting this amazing event. This is a love story between a girl and a boy, an anaesthetist and a cardiologist, now husband and wife. Sharon and Myles was recently wedded in Hong Kong and within days, they travelled back to Toronto to have their post wedding reception at Thornhill’s one and only Sheraton Parkway. Sharon was originally from Toronto and Myles from the States where he moved from Chicago to San Francisco to New Jersey. Both of them finally settled down in Hong Kong after years of study, and fatde brought them together when they met each other in medical school in Hong Kong.

Because of their tight schedule and jet lag after their arrival, we never had the opportunity to formally meet before hand. Saturday came and it was a lovely day where the weather really held up, reaching as high as 9 degrees. Even though we encountered some wind, we have a fun portrait session at a nearby park. They already had some pretty glamorous pre-wedding photos from the far east, so we decided to have a very different portrait experience where it was about the fun and real them.

After the portrait session, we headed back to the hotel and they got read for the reception.

Just moments before their post wedding reception at the Grand Richmond ballroom, they bride and groom performed the traditional Chinese Tea ceremony where they had to give a cup of tea to the elders.
