This is a tale of two lovely persons, one from Toronto and one from Montreal… and.. they got married!
Interesting fact, most couples I’ve booked, I’ve known for quite some time leading up to the wedding. I’ve only met Bessie and Andrew a couple of weeks ago for the first time, right there and then, I knew I was going to have a fantastic time on their big day. Interesting fact number 2, Bessie herself is in the wedding industry with floral designs. She definitely did a great job arranging all the flowers and decor for her own wedding! A bride who is in the industry can really mean one thing, they understand the whole process and it has honestly been quite some time where timing for everything was executed in a timely fashion without any sort of delays. Not even for a split second!
As most folks from Toronto know, the weather throughout the last week and a half has really been a roller coaster ride from being very warm (even hot), to very chilly. Luckily on their wedding day, the weather was pretty calm for the most part. Even though we experienced some rain during our outdoor session, it did not ruin anything for us.
The day started off with the makeup, and with Bessie getting into a Cheung sham, followed by traditional Chinese tea ceremony in which the couple must present tea with lotus seed and date to the elder couple.
After the morning festivities, we arrived at Old Mill Inn for the wedding ceremony and some pictures afterwards at the beautiful surroundings. I’ve been to Old Mill Inn many times for weddings and every time, I’ve discovered something new and something interesting.
By the time we were done with the photos, rain started to come down again. I’m so glad and thankful there was enough time for me to get some amazing photos for the couple. Later on, we arrived at Regal Palace at Richmond Hill for the banquet. Lots of friends flew over from Asia, Hong Kong, drove all the way from the States, Montreal to be a part of their big day. As you can tell, no one would be disappointed as the fun did not end. The games, speeches, bouquet and garter toss were just a few things that went on during the night that displayed a lot of affection and love for the couple. As you can probably tell from the next few photos, ots of alcohol were also involved, that’s probably what we would all agree on – a great night!
Thanks for an amazing night and have fun on your honeymoon!
